Domain name registration help

Domain name registration allows you to buy your own domain name, it requires the following steps:

• Domain name lookup - This checks that the domain name you want has not already been taken, if not you can select the domain name for purchase. You will be able to lookup and select as many names as you wish.
• Account creation and service agreement - In this step you can create an new account or login to an old one. You will also be required to indicate that you have read and agree with the various agreements associated with the domains you wish to purchase. An account is necessary so that at a later date you can login and modify the information associated with your domains.
• Owner contact details - In this step you will have to fill in the contact details for the owner of this domain, the owner has the ultimate say in any changes to the domain.
• Administrator contact details - In this step you will have to fill in the contact details for the person who should be contacted regarding the domains administration.
• Billing contact details - In this step you will have to fill in the contact details for the person who will be contacted regarding billing. This contacts email will be used by SpaceReg to send an invoice and the contacts country will be used to determine any taxes (UK VAT) applicable.
• Technical contact details - In this step you will have to fill in the contact details for the person who will be contacted should there be any technical issues regarding the domain.
• Purchase - Once you have confirmed the various contact details you will be able to make the final step, all prices are quoted in USD, but our payment options will allow you to pay either in USD (with paypal) or in UKP.

Once you have completed the various steps and the payment option you selected has verified payment, your billing contact will be emailed with confirmation that the registration process has begun. This process should complete within a few hours, you will then be able to login to our members section to configure your domain and change the name servers associated with it.

Important notes

Please note the following regarding domain name registrations:

• You will not be prompted for domain name servers during registration, our default servers will be used and you can then change them once the registration process has finished.
• You will have to supply a working email for all your contacts.
• Registrations with a billing contact in Great Britain will be charged VAT.
• Registrations with a billing contact in the EC will be charged VAT, unless they supply their EC VAT number.
• There are no refunds for domain name registrations, so please check that you have spelt your domains correctly (Contact details can be changed at a later date).
