Change hosting provider

The hosting service provider for your domain name is determined by the authoritative name servers associated with the domain name. You may check the registries entries for these either from a public whois gateway or from the configure link on the view your domain names page (you will have to login).

To change hosting provider you will have to ask the new provider what their authoritative name servers are and then update your domain name details. You can find help on authoritative name server server changes here. It may take up to a week for your new hosting service to become live, however in practice it usually takes 24 hours.

Important considerations

• For security reasons we cannot update domain name details if instructed to do so by phone or email, this may only be done via our secure members area.
